‘Run for the Roses’ Kentucky Derby Tea Party Slated for May 14 to Benefit Nitschke House

A ”Run for the Roses” Kentucky Derby-Style Tea Party featuring an entertaining, enlightening program, an indoor horse race, a Gift Auction and more will take place on Sat., May 14 (12:30 p.m.) at the Kenilworth Veterans Center (Kennedy Room), 33 South 21 Street, Kenilworth. Assorted teas, tea sandwiches and desserts will be served. Wearing of “fancy hats” is encouraged. Admission is $30. Advance reservations (by April 23) are requested. For tickets/information, please call 908-709-0434. Proceeds will benefit the Oswald J. Nitschke House ”living history” museum and cultural arts center by helping defray operating expenses, including the cost of an elevator that makes all levels of the Nitschke House fully accessible to everyone.
