Grants

The Kenilworth Historical Society (KHS) has received general operating support and project grants from the N.J. Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State. A long-range Strategic Plan and Interpretive Plan for KHS and the Oswald J. Nitschke House were funded through
N.J. Cultural Trust grants, and capital preservation grants from the N.J. Historic Trust, “Preserve Union County” grant program and others helped fund the multiphase restoration and transformation of the Nitschke House into a fully accessible “living history” museum and cultural arts center.
