and the Blackthorn will generously donate 10% of the price of your meal to the Kenilworth Historical Society for the benefit of the Oswald J. Nitschke House museum preservation/rehabilitation and elevator project.
KENILWORTH, N.J., October 23, 2014 – The Kenilworth Historical Society and the Blackthorn Restaurant & Irish Pub are teaming up for a special dining event to benefit the Oswald J. Nitschke House (c. 1880) “living history” museum and cultural arts center.
For anyone who dines at the Blackthorn (651 North Michigan Ave., Kenilworth) during the period November 9 through November 15, 2014, and presents a relevant invitation-flier, 10 percent of the dollar amount paid for food will be generously donated to the Kenilworth Historical Society to benefit the Oswald J. Nitschke House “living history” museum and cultural arts center restoration/rehabilitation and elevator project.

The Kenilworth Historical Society (www.kenilworthhistoricalsociety.org) is an independent, volunteer-based non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the research, preservation and interpretation of the historic Oswald J. Nitschke House, local history and culture. The Nitschke House is listed in the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places. Funding for the Nitschke House preservation/rehabilitation project and all other programs that the Kenilworth Historical Society provides to the schools and general public is entirely dependent on donations, fundraising activities and competitive grants that the organization applies for and is considered for based on merit.
