The Kenilworth Historical Society (KHS) is teaming up with Zumba fitness to present a fun-filled, healthful Zumba exercise event on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m.-9:45 a.m. at Kenilworth’s DiMario Park, 139 S. Michigan Ave. Participants are asked to arrive by 8:45 a.m. and to “mask up” upon entering. Safe social distancing practices will be observed. Admission is $10.
The invigorating early morning session will be presented by professional, licensed Zumba instructor Theresa Loneker of Zumba fitness (Kenilworth, N.J.), to whom KHS Is grateful for such generous support. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Oswald J. Nitschke House (c. 1880) living museum and cultural arts center by helping defray operating expenses, including the cost of an elevator that makes the site fully accessible to everyone. Such support is especially critical and appreciated in these difficult, uncertain times, when KHS has been unable to hold its usual fundraising events due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
