Bus trips to Mohegan Sun Casino (Uncasville, Conn.) and historic Bethlehem, Pa., will be hosted by the Kenilworth Historical Society on Sat., Oct. 26, and Sat., Dec. 7, respectively.
The Oct. 26 Mohegan Sun trip will depart Kenilworth (St. Theresa’s School parking lot) at 8 a.m. and return to Kenilworth at approximately 9 p.m. Cost of $60 includes comfortable motor coach transportation; an approximate 6-hour visit to the casino, which additionally houses a wide range of distinctive shops and popular restaurants; a $15 coupon for the casino’s sumptuous buffet, another type of meal or shopping; and a $10 coupon for free bets.
The Dec. 7 Bethlehem trip will depart Kenilworth (St. Theresa’s School parking lot) at 8 a.m. and return to Kenilworth at approximately 8 p.m. Cost of $95 includes comfortable motor coach transportation; a visit to historic Bethlehem’s beautiful Moravian Putz and spectacular Christkindlmarkt holiday market, featuring a vast array of culinary delights, unique shops, aisles of handmade works by more than 150 of the nation’s finest artisans, ice carving and glassblowing demonstrations, and festive music and entertainment; and an enchanting guided bus tour of Bethelehem at night with its famous star — and more.
There will be complimentary door prizes on the bus for both trips. For further information and reservations, please call 908-709-0434. As space is limited on these popular outings, it is suggested that reservations be made by Oct. 12 for the Mohegan Sun trip and by Nov. 7 for the Bethlehem trip to ensure availability. Gift certificates for the trips are available for purchase.
Proceeds will benefit the Kenilworth Historical Society’s historic Oswald J. Nitschke House (c. 1880) by helping defray operating expenses, including the cost of an elevator that makes the restored “living history” museum and cultural arts center fully accessible to everyone.
